Gershon Ellinson Snaps Shwekey

This morning noted photographer Gershon Ellinson, sent me some exceptional photos from last night's Shwekey concert. Thank you, Gershon.
Gershon is best known as the famed pictorial chronicler of Hevron's history. He is also Efrat/Gush Etzion's main photojournalist.
Since the latest issue of Voices magazine came out a few days ago, it would be quite a long time before I could use them, so I thought I'd share these wonderful photos with you.
Gershon was right up on stage when Shwekey was singing. While we were photographing and videoing the stage, Gershon was snapping us!! What a great drowd - 4000 strong.
During one of the memorable moments during the show, Yaakov Shwekey told everyone that we know we must pray for G-d's protection of the Jewish People and the State of Israel at all times, and we must also show our gratitude to those Israel Defense Force servicemen who put their lives on the line for their nation every day.
Gershon was on the stage when Yaakov called a group of chayalim (soldiers) to come on stage with him and sing. One of the soldiers put his own beret on Shwekey's head. It was actually very moving.
Thank you to Gershon Ellinson for capturing those special pictures that we will always remember.
